Our School Day
The school day starts at 8.50am and finishes at 3.20pm. Registration is from 8.50am.
Morning playtimes
At 10.30am children from Year Nursery to Year 6 have a break until 10:45.
Lunch
Children in Reception have their lunch at 11:50am and their break ends at 1:00pm. Children in Year 1 to Year 6 begin their break at 12:00 noon and lunchtime ends at 1:00pm
Afternoon playtimes:
Year Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have an afternoon playtime at 2:00pm.
Nursery
The Nursery session begins at 8.55am and ends at 3.15pm. Those children who attend for 15 hours each week are collected at 11.55am, which is the end of the morning session.
Drop-off and collection
Our gates open at 8:40am each day. Children may enter the main school from this time, where they are supervised in their classrooms whilst they complete ‘morning jobs’ before registration at 8.50am. At the end of the school day parents are encouraged onto the playground, where we will hand your child over to you. This helps to build up a close relationship between home and school. If normal arrangements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let us know.
Getting to school
Walking is definitely the best option to get to and from school! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike-racks if you choose to cycle to school. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely and drive slowly whilst on the streets outside school, being mindful that lots of children and families will be in the vicinity.
