We enjoyed a visit from Mr Matt Walker, a paralympic athlete who showed the children photos of himself visiting the queen, as well as his many paralympic medals. Matt’s key message to the children was that they could be whatever they wanted to be as they grew up – they simply needed to keep on trying their best and working hard. This was a wonderfully positive visit, which made all of us in the hall remember the importance of sharing our similarities and celebrating our differences.
