As the feast of the ascension falls during our school holidays, we gathered on the school field yesterday to mark this
solemnity, when Jesus went back to His father, leaving his disciples with His Holy Spirit.
As a school, we shared words from Matthew’s gospel: (Matt 28:16-20)
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching
them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
